Father, 18-year-old daughter stabbed to death by neighbor in Cebu

An 18-year-old woman and her 51-year-old father were stabbed to death by their neighbor in Toledo City, Cebu, in a report from Saksi.

Another woman, a friend of the female victim who was staying for the evening, is in critical condition.

Police said the suspect first attacked the two women.

The victim’s father, armed with a gun, tried to rescue the two women but was overpowered by the suspect who fatally stabbed him.

Based on the victims’ family, the suspect was interested with the sister of the victim who he invited to live with him, an arrangement the father did not agree with. 

Police arrested the suspect who is facing murder and frustrated murder charges. —Rhoel Fernandez, GMA Integrated News
