Truckload of tomatoes dumped at vacant lot in Nueva Vizcaya

A truckload of tomatoes was dumped at a vacant lot in Nueva Vizcaya.

According to a report on "24 Oras," the trader said the tomatoes were close to rotting and were difficult to sell even with its low farmgate price of P6 to P7.

The Municipal Agriculture Office of Bambang said there is now an abundant supply of tomaties.

SINAG claimed that there was no oversupply and that tomatoes were just quick to rot.

A kilo of tomatoes were sold at P20 to P26 in Dagupan City from the previous P80 to P100. —Jiselle Ann C. Casucian/NB, GMA Integrated News
