LTFRB suspends Ceres Bus Liner after fatal bus accident in Antique
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) issued a 90-day preventive suspension against Ceres Bus Liner after one of its buses fell into a ravine in Hamtic, Antique, which killed several individuals.
According to Glen Juego’s report on Super Radyo dzBB, LTFRB Chairman Teofilo Guadiz III said this will give way to the investigation of the fatal incident.
About 15 buses of the company regularly travel the route covered by the suspension.
The authorities are investigating whether it is the same bus company involved in a similar incident several years ago.
Earlier today, Ceres Bus Liner, said they are "willing to cooperate with any investigations".
Seventeen people were confirmed dead while seven were severely injured, Antique Governor Rhodora Cadiao said on Balitanghali on Wednesday, citing a report from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO).—RF, GMA Integrated News
