Almost 100 houses razed in Binangonan Fire

A fire that was raised to Alert Level 3 at 4 a.m. on Tuesday razed 100 houses in Barangay Tagpos, Binangonan, Rizal.

According to a 24 Oras report by James Agustin on Tuesday, the fire spanned from the Lower Luklukan compound reached the Bautista compound and caused electricity lines to explode.

“Tatanggapin ko ito. Wala na talaga. Mahirap nitong makabawi eh, magpapasko pa naman,” said resident Edgar Barameda.

(I have to accept this. It's all gone. It will be difficult to recover from this, and it's almost Christmas.)

Meanwhile, Binangonan Municipal Fire Marshal Fire Chief Inspector Richard Malamug stated that an electrical malfunction may have started the fire.

“Nakita nila yung kuryente nanggaling doon sa bubong doon sa bulb ng ilaw, so malamang sa electrical yung pinagmulan ng sunog,” said Malamug.

(They saw sparks on a roof, from a ligh bulb, so it's likely the fire started from something electrical.)
