Mimaropa workers to get P40 minimum wage hike —DOLE


Workers in the private sector receiving minimum wage in the Mimaropa Region will get a P40 increase, according to the Department of Labor and Employment - Oriental Mindoro.

Domestic workers or kasambahay, meanwhile, will receive a P1,000 hike.

The wage hikes will take effect on December 7, 2023.

The new increase will bring the minimum salary for workers in establishments with more than 10 workers to P395 daily, and P369 daily for workers in establishments with less than 10 workers.

The increase will affect over 46,861,000 workers in the region following approval from the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board.

Meanwhile, with the increase, the minimum monthly salary of domestic workers will now be P5,500.

Mimaropa is an administrative region that covers the provinces of Marinduque, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, and Romblon, as well as one highly urbanized city. The regional center is the city of Calapan.—Jiselle Anne Casucian/LDF, GMA Integrated News
