Cops nab possible Jumalon shooting suspect

A possible suspect in the killing of radio anchor Juan “DJ Johnny Walker” Jumalon had been arrested in a buy-bust operation, according to a Saturday 24 Oras Weekend report.

The apprehended suspect was also a suspect in the murder of a municipal engineer last October 2023.

Based on police examinations, the suspect was believed to be also involved in the Jumalon killing as casings recovered in the engineer shooting also matched the casings in the Jumalon murder.  

According to Philippine National Police Spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo, the suspect may be one of the two unidentified suspects in Jumalon’s case that served as a lookout during the shooting. — Jiselle Casucian/DVM, GMA Integrated News
