Bulacan warehouse fire put out after 15 hours
A fire that destroyed two warehouses in Meycauayan, Bulacan was finally declared fire out after 15 hours.
In a “Saksi” report on Wednesday, the fire in Barangay Libtong started at around 9 p.m. Tuesday spread rapidly and took a long time to extinguish was largely due to highly flammable school supplies and linoleum stored inside the warehouses.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) added that narrow roads leading to the area hampered their efforts to reach the fire, which reached up to the fourth alarm.
Adding to difficulties, several fire trucks ran out of water with the nearest hydrants far from the location.
BFP said there were no casualties in the incident and the cause of the fire is still being investigated. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/RF, GMA Integrated News
