Fire hits two warehouses in Meycauayan, Bulacan

Fire hit two warehouses located in Barangay Libtong in Meycauayan, Bulacan on Tuesday evening, according to the report of Ralph Obina of Super Radyo DZBB on "Saksi."

Obina reported that the wall and roof of the warehouse used to store cartons and the fire may spread.

As of 6 a.m., firefighters continue to work on putting the fire under control for nine hours.

Luisito Santos reported on Super Radyo DZBB early Wednesday morning that personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection and volunteer firefighters are currently trying to stop the fire from spreading to other warehouses in the vicinity.

One of the warehouses is used to store wine. A resort in the area, so far, is unscathed due to a firewall.

The fire started about 9:11 p.m. on Tuesday and was raised to fourth alarm around 10 p.m. and this has not yet been lowered.

Bulacan Provincial Fire Protection reported that the warehouses hit by the fire was used to store general merchandise and school supplies, which is one of the reasons the firefighters found it difficult to put the fire under control.  — BAP, GMA Integrated News
