Travelers head to Batangas, Calapan Ports after long weekend

Travelers headed to the Batangas and Calapan Ports to travel back to Metro Manila after the long weekend that saw the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections and the Undas holidays.

According to a "24 Oras Weekend" report, at least 20,000 passengers were expected at the Batangas port.

The relaxed sailing schedules were still in effect at the ports and ships did not have to follow the departure schedule and could sail when full.

There are also buses to Manila and several provinces at the port.

In Calapan port, there are about 8,000 passengers on Saturday, which may double on Sunday.

Meanwhile, according to the Philippine Coast Guard-Southern Tagalog, 400,00 people crossed the sea from October 25 to November 4. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
