Wife of BSKE candidate in Oriental Mindoro shot dead

The wife of a barangay chairman candidate in Baco, Oriental Mindoro was shot dead on Saturday morning.

According to a police report, the incident was reported at around 2:10 a.m. when the body of 58-year-old victim Marina Bacay Garcia was found by her son inside her home.

Initial investigation stated that the barking of a dog in front of the house was heard, closely followed by a gunshot.

The victim was then found bleeding and lifeless on her bed.

The case remains under investigation as the suspect remains unidentified and at large. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
