Phivolcs reports weak lava effusion from Mayon volcano
By GMA Integrated News
Weak lava effusion was observed from the summit of Mayon volcano early Saturday morning, the PHIVOLCS reported.
The agency also said that the activity is the fifth recorded this month.
The effusion has generated, PHIVOLCS said, "persistent slow-moving lava flow and rockfall on the Miisi and Bonga Gully."
"A short-lived burst at the summit was already detected at 06:36 PM," the agency added.
Alert Level 3 is currently maintained over Mayon Volcano, which means that it is currently in a “relatively high level of unrest and hazardous eruption within weeks or even days could still be possible,” according to PHIVOLCS. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
