Group nabbed for allegedly stealing over 40 motorcycles in Cavite
The alleged suspects behind the theft of over 40 motorcycle units all over Cavite were arrested by the Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG), according to a "State of the Nation" spot report on Wednesday.
CCTV footage collected over the course of several months showed the suspects stealing motorcycle units in different areas like Trece Martires and Dasmariñas. They were arrested following a tip from a victim.
The suspects denied the allegations, saying they only sold the stolen units.
“Base sa ating interviews, inamin nila na meron silang mga kapangkat o mga kagrupo na tumitira dito sa Cavite,” said PNP-HPG Cavite officer Police Chief Master Sergeant Ferdinand Cruz said.
(Based on our interviews, they confessed that they had an organization or group members that operates in Cavite.)
Complaints are being readied against the suspects. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/LDF,GMA Integrated News
