Arson eyed in fire that killed 5 in Cagayan de Oro
By GMA Integrated News
Police are investigating the possibility of arson in the fire that killed a family of five in Cagayan De Oro City.
According to a report on "State of the Nation," the victims were identified as Meljhen and Manilyn Galpo and their two children, aged seven and four.
Manilyn’s sister Maggie Epanes also died in the fire.
Cagayan de Oro Police medico-legal said that there was evidence of foul play found in their bodies following the autopsy.
Police are investigating a chain of robberies in the area as one of the victim’s phone was stolen and recovered before the fire.
They are also pursuing another lead following physical abuse and grave threat complaints filed by Maggie in September. —NB, GMA Integrated News
