LTO subpoenas employee over Bulacan road rage incident
The Land and Transportation Office (LTO) has issued a subpoena to one of its employees over a physical altercation in the street in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
According to Carlo Mateo's report on Super Radyo dzBB on Sunday, LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II instructed the LTO Region 3 Director to investigate the case.
On Friday, a concerned motorist recorded an incident between an SUV driver and a delivery rider on the road.
The motorist was allegedly armed, and he grabbed the rider's phone and hurled it to the ground.
The altercation ended with the man driving away while the distraught rider was left sitting on the side of the road.
The rider sought help from the San Jose del Monte Police, who identified the SUV driver as Gregorio Glean, an LTO administrative aide.
Both parties met on September 14, with Glean apologizing.
Glean, however, is expected in the LTO Central Office to explain his side of the incident. — Sherylin Untalan/BM, GMA Integrated News
