7 minors rescued from 'sex den' in Laguna
Seven minor victims of an alleged pimp and his accomplice were rescued inside a lodging house in Laguna.
According to John Consulta's report on "24 Oras," the authorities arrested the alleged pimp and the establishment's cashier due to human trafficking activities.
Seven minor girls aged 12, 13, 15, and 16 were rescued by the National Bureau of Investigation - Cavite District Office North personnel.
For several years, there has been a conspiracy between the pimp and the establishment' staff where minors were allegedly being abused, the NBI said.
“’Yung pimp ay nakikipag-ugnayan sa mga potential customers through social media at text messaging. Inaalok niya ang mga ito ng sexual encounter for a fee na umaabot sa 150,000 pesos,” said Eric Nuqui, NBI Cavite District Office North chief.
The suspects denied the allegations.
“Nag-file po tayo ng kaso laban sa aring mga nahuli in violation sa human trafficking act, as amended, ito’y qualified trafficking. May parusang habang buhay na pagkakabilanggo at multang limang milyong piso," Nuqui said.
The NBI will recommend the immediate closure of the raided establishment to the local government unit.
