Cavite road rage victim files grave threat, defamation complaints

The victim behind the viral road rage incident in General Trias, Cavite has filed oral defamation and grave threat complaints against the suspect, according to a "24 Oras" report by Jun Veneracion on Wednesday.

Jarrid Bation pursued the case even after the suspect, Jay-Ar Cezar, has asked for forgiveness in a radio program hosted by Senator Raffy Tulfo.

Bation also said Cezar's driver's license should be suspended or revoked.

He said the incident has caused him stress and financial burden.

Police Major Hilario Lacaste of the General Trias Police said a person found guilty of oral defamation may face up to six months imprisonment, while grave threat carries a jail time of more than six months.

The suspect has yet to appear before the police.  Investigators went to the KTV bar and his declared addresses in General Trias and Imus, but he was not there.

“Pagpunta po ng ating imbestigador wala po siya sa mga address,” Lacaste said. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/LDF, GMA Integrated News
