Armed robbers enter Antipolo coffee shop; shoots victim who fought back
A coffee shop robbery in Antipolo, Rizal led to a shooting after one of the victims tried to chase the suspects.
According to a "State of the Nation" report by Joseph Morong, CCTV footage showed two suspects wearing helmets entered the coffee shop.
The suspects took all the gadgets of the people inside the establishment. The suspects, one their way out, tried to bar the door to prevent people from following them.
One of the victims made it through the door and pushed one of the suspects. The victim was then shot by one of the suspects.
According to Antipolo Police, the victim is recovering in the hospital.
Meanwhile, one of the suspects was arrested in a follow-up operation.
The suspect, who allegedly owned the motorcycle, denied any involvement in the robbery. The police said the suspect is allegedly involved in other shooting incidents.
