Cebu butcher accidentally killed while attempting to slaughter a pig

A butcher in Cebu's Pilar town died after he was accidentally hit with a knife while trying to slaughter a pig.

Based on the initial investigation, victim Marcelito Lapeciros was butchering a pig when the incident occurred in Barangay Mauabag, according to a report on “Balita Ko” on Monday.

Lapeciros was reportedly about to strike the pig, thinking it was already dead when it suddenly moved and attempted to escape.

The victim frantically tried to stop the animal, causing a rope to hit his knife, which accidentally hit him on the neck.
