Female lawyer shot dead inside parked car in Abra

A lawyer was shot dead inside a car parked outside her home in Abra on Thursday afternoon.

According to a "Saksi" report on Thursday, Maria Saniata Alzate was killed by two men riding in tandem who immediately left after the attack.

The victim died after she was rushed to the hospital.

The Abra Provincial Police Office is conducting an investigation to identify the suspects and motive behind the shooting.

The attack also marked the first recorded shooting incident in Abra since the implementation of the Election Gun Ban. — Jiselle Casucian/BAP, GMA Integrated News
