950,000 devotees attended Peñafrancia Traslacion —LGU

The local government of Naga City said almost a million people took part in this year's Traslacion procession or the transfer of the Image of Our Lady of Peñafrancia from the Basilica Minore to the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral. 

"As per the official assessment conducted by the Joint Operations Center (JOC), the final crowd estimate for this year’s Traslacion procession reached an astonishing 950,000 devotees gathered to catch a glimpse of our beloved Divino Rostro and Ina," said Naga City Government on its official Facebook page on Saturday.

Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia is the patroness of the Bicol region. This year's theme is "A renewed Church journeying with Christ, through Christ and in Christ."

Several events are scheduled to be held in the coming days in relation to the feast of Peñafrancia. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
