Woman stabbed after refusing to give alms to ‘hungry man’ in Dumaguete

A woman in Dumaguete City died after she was stabbed by a man, who claimed he committed the crime due to hunger.

According to Jonathan Andal's report on "Saksi," the victim was rushed to the hospital but she was found to have already died when she got there.

The incident happened in the area of V. Locsin and Real Streets in the city on Monday.

The stabbing was caught on CCTV and the suspect was arrested hours later.

The suspect said he was hungry and had asked for alms from the victim but was refused.

Investigators said the suspect had previously been arrested for solvent use and theft. —NB, GMA Integrated News
