Bustos Dam continues to release excess water
The Bustos Dam in Bulacan continued to release excess water as monsoon rains affected parts of Luzon.
According to Jamie Santos' report on "24 Oras Weekend'' on Saturday, Bustos Dam began releasing excess water on Wednesday.
Three sluice gates were opened as the water level hit 17.10 meters as of 12 p.m., close to the 17.36-meter spilling level.
Residents near the Angat River were warned of possible flooding.
Also, floodgates at Ipo, Ambuklao, and Binga dams were open as of Saturday morning to release water after days of heavy rains, data from PAGASA showed.
Meanwhile, some areas in Hagonoy, Bulacan, were flooded due to heavy rains and a high tide. — Sherylin Untalan/VBL, GMA Integrated News
