3 Cainta barangay officials shot, killed while responding to battery complaint

Three barangay officials were shot and killed in Cainta, Rizal while responding to battery allegations against one of the residents.

Initial investigation into the matter shows that the three officials were shot when they headed to a residence in the area due to battery complaints against the suspect, who then shot a firearm.

The suspect was later killed in the encounter.

A police officer and a guard were also injured during the incident, as reported on GMA’s “24 Oras Weekend” on Sunday.
