438th GMA Kapuso Foundation classroom inaugurated in Polillo Island
After almost three months of construction, a new Kapuso classroom building in Polillo Island, Quezon is finally ready to welcome students back, just in time for the new school year.
According to a report on "24 Oras," Wednesday, among the students who will get to study comfortably in the new building is eleven-year-old Krishane May Cabato.
Krishane sells fruits after attending school, where she earns ten pesos for her school allowance from every P100 she makes.
Krishane also teaches her younger siblings at home.
Assisted by the Philippine Air Force, GMA Kapuso Foundation Ambassador and Special Adviser Mel Tiangco traveled to the island to witness the inauguration of the new building.
With the help of its partners, sponsors, volunteers, and donors, the foundation was able to build two more strengthened classrooms that will serve as the students' second homes.
Roberto Capulong said.
For those who are interested to help, the GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
