Man with bullet wounds on head found inside burned car

The body of a man with gunshot wounds to the head was found inside a car that caught fire in Merida Leyte.

According to the report on "Saksi" by Nikko Sereno of GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak, the car on fire was reported to the authorities by a concerned citizen on Thursday before dawn.

When the police arrived they found the car which had no license plates already burned.

The body of a person was also found inside the vehicle.

Before the fire, residents in the area said they heard several gunshots.

The police are waiting for information on the identity of the victim, said to be 40 to 45 years old. —Jiselle Casucian/NB, GMA Integrated News
