Whale shark surprises tourist with a quick ride in Oslob, Cebu

The town of Oslob in Cebu province has become popular because of the beautiful and clean beach and the experience to swim with whale sharks, which are locally known as butanding.

One tourist, however, experienced a magical moment with one of the sharks.

In the video in a report on "Saksi," Cris Cyril Tampus only intended to have his photo taken with one of the whale sharks in the area.

He was ready for his photo shoot when out of the blue one of the whale sharks sneaked up on him from behind, gave him a gentle nudge then took Cyril on a quick ride.

This was the first time that Cyril's guide witness a gesture from one of the gentle giants in the area.

He was nervous at the start then decided to sit back and enjoy the "special ride."

Cyril said that he was instructed to keep his distance from the whale sharks. So they were surprised that one the whales would go near him. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
