4,000 residents affected by Egay in Abra receive aid from GMA Kapuso Foundation

A total of 4,000 residents of Abra received aid from the GMA Kapuso Foundation after the onslaught of Typhoon Egay.

According to a report on "24 Oras," Monday, among the beneficiaries is Luz Baga, who lost her family home to the floods.

She and her family have been living there for 20 years, but now the house has been damaged beyond repair.

Meanwhile, Aida Belarmino, a farmer, lost her harvest when soil and rocks washed over her rice field.

"Nalulungkot po ako kasi 'yung mga kagaya kong farmers, wala na naman po silang kikitain, wala na naman po kaming kakainin," she said.

To help the residents, the GMA Kapuso Foundation distributed relief goods and hygiene kits.

Many infrastructures and homes were destroyed due to the Typhoon Egay. For those who wish to help, the GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
