Missing 17-year-old found dead in Negros Oriental, stepfather ‘admits’ crime

A 17-year-old who was reported missing was found dead in a secluded area in Barangay Caidioncan in Valencia, Negros Oriental.

According to the report on Regional TV News by Fe Marie Dumaboc of "Balitang Bisdak," the victim was identified as Anna Jane Dela Cruz.

The suspect in her killing is her stepfather Mitchiel Diego, who reportedly admitted the crime.

The police said Dela Cruz was reported missing on Saturday and was found dead the following day.

Investigation showed that Diego and Dela Cruz were looking for funds to buy blood for her mother who was in the hospital.

Diego, however, reportedly brought the victim to hidden area in the barangay and allegedly raped her.

An autopsy has been scheduled to find out if the victim was indeed raped. —NB, GMA Integrated News
