Two policemen on patrol killed near church in Oas, Albay

Two policemen were killed after they were shot by suspects they accosted for suspicious behavior in Oas, Albay.

According to a report on "Saksi," the victims were identified as Police MSgt. Joseph Ostonal and Police Cpl. Jeffrey Refereza.

The two were reportedly on patrol at a church when they confronted the suspects.

The suspects shot the two policemen.

The authorities arrested two of the suspects, one of whom is being treated in a hospital after he was shot on the foot.

A gun was recovered from the suspects but the service firearm of one of the two victims is missing.

Robbery is the motive for the crime.
