Charges filed vs. two suspects in attack vs. Cebu dentist
Police filed charges on Friday against two suspects in the attack on a dentist on Wednesday afternoon in Cebu City.
The suspects, whose names were withheld from media by police due to ongoing pursuit operations, face charges of serious physical injury and grave threat, according to a report on Saturday by Decemay Padilla of Super Radyo Cebu on Super Radyo dzBB.
The two men posed as delivery riders, entered the victim's dental clinic and attacked the dentist, identified as Dr. Charles Sia, hitting him on the head before piercing both his eyes, Alan Domingo of GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak reported on 24 Oras on Thursday.
The suspects handcuffed the dentist, his secretary and two patients.
Police investigation showed the victim knew the suspects because they had a transaction before.
Investigators are looking into personal grudge or something related to business as possible angles in the crime.
Meanwhile, the victim is still confined and recovering at a hospital in Mandaue City. —KG, GMA Integrated News
