Crocodile, measuring 14.9 feet, dies after getting captured in Palawan
By GMA Integrated News
The almost 15-foot crocodile that fishermen captured in Bataraza, Palawan has died.
According to a report on "24 Oras" by Super Radyo Palawan, the 14.9-foot crocodile was caught as the fishers feared it would attack residents in the area.
A necropsy is currently being conducted to find out the cause of its death.
If the crocodile was killed on purpose, those behind the killing might face charges.
The Palawan Council of Sustainable Development believes the crocodile may have succumbed to heart failure due to the raptures found in its veins.
Illness may have also weakened the crocodile, which made the capture easier. —Jiselle Casucian/NB, GMA Integrated News
