Missing policeman found dead in Lanao del Sur river

A policeman who has been missing for several days was found dead in a river in Wao, Lanao del Sur.

According to Joseph Morong's report on "Saksi", the victim was identified as Patrolman Jeffrey Dabuco, 31. His body bore a wound on the head.

Investigators are still determining whether the wound was intentionally inflicted.

"Last siyang nakita sa loob ng kanyang quarters sa patrol base," Police Major Joann Navarro, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office-10.

"Importante na ating tingnan at malaman kung ano ba talaga ang nangyari before, during, and after na nadeklarang missing siya," she added.

Nine policemen, who were with Dabuco before he went missing, have been placed under restrictive custody.

Investigators are looking at some motives including personal grudge.

Dabuco's body has been subjected to an autopsy to find out the cause of his death. —NB, GMA Integrated News
