25-year-old coffee shop owner shot and killed in Cabanatuan City

A 25-year-old businessman was killed after a motorcycle-riding gunman shot him in front of his coffee shop in Cabanatuan City.

According to the report on "Saksi" by Russel Simorio of GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon, the victim John Paul Martinez died after suffering a gunshot wound on his side.

CCTV footage showed two men on board a motorcycle. The passenger alighted and shot the victim before fleeing the scene.

Martinez's family is pleading for justice.

"Nakakalungkot. Kagabi hindi ako makatulog," his father Marius Gonzales said.

"Binata pa siya. Wala naman siyang nakaaway," he added.

(It's sad. I couldn't sleep last night. He was single. He didn't have enemies.)

Police said they have identified the two suspects with the help of the CCTV video.

“Ang priority talaga ng police, identify the suspect to locate at mangalap ng mga ebidensiya," said Police Lt. Franklin Sindac, public information officer of the Nueva Ecija Provincial Police Office. —NB, GMA Integrated News
