Some evacuees amid Mayon unrest build makeshift shelters outside classrooms
Some evacuees in Malilipot, Albay have built makeshift shelters outside classrooms used as evacuation centers amid the restiveness of Mayon Volcano.
According to the report on "State of the Nation" of Jessie Cruzat of GMA Regional TV Balitang Bicolandia, a barangay official said a classroom has been housing 30 families.
“Dahil ‘pag nandoon sila sa loob ng kwarto halos masikip sila dahil ang bilang niyan isang room, umaabot ng 30 families kaya kailangan talagang magtayo sila dito sa likod,” said barangay chairman Gilbert Bolaños of Barangay Calbayog.
(If they're inside the room, it's rather congested because the number of families reaches 30. That's they have to put up something here at the back.)
According to the NDRRMC, there are 15,502 individuals at evacuation centers as of June 14 due to the unrest on Mayon Volcano. —Sherylin Untalan/NB, GMA Integrated News
