Cops arrest man who allegedly fires gun indiscriminately while drunk
A man who allegedly fires his gun indiscriminately while in a drunken state in Cabuyao, Laguna has been arrested, Marisol Abdurahman reported on "Saksi."
Cabuyao Police, by virtue of a search warrant, searched the house of the suspect in Barangay Pulo, Cabuyao City for firearms.
Cabuyao City Police chief Police Col. Jack Angog said they got information from barangay officials that the suspect identified as Percival Ramos fires his gun when he is drunk.
The police went to the suspect's house several times in response to the complaint of his neighbors. But they have failed to arrest him.
"Tumakas siya dahil alam niya na bawal iyon, nagtago siya," said Angog.
"Nakakatakot nga naman na makarining ka ng pumuputok ng wala sa oras o alanganing oras ng gabi," he added.
The cops, finally, caught up with the suspect a few minutes after 7 a.m. on Thursday after several days of surveillance in the area.
The suspect was arrested and is now detained at the Cabuyao Police station. The police found a calibre 22 revolver and some bullets. But they did not find the armalite that is allegedly owned by the suspect.
Ramos denied the allegations against him and the ownership of the firearm. -- BAP, GMA Integrated News
