Mr. Cagayan de Oro contestant killed after getting shot in the head

A contestant in the Mr. Cagayan De Oro pageant was killed after he was shot in the head.

According to the report on "Saksi" of GMA Regional TV One Mindanao's Cyril Chavez, Rovic Fornillos, 24, was taken to the hospital but eventually died.

Investigation showed that the victim came from the gym and was on his way to a friend's house to practice for the pageant.

The gunman went beside the victim after he went off his motorcycle.

When the victim took off his helmet, the suspect shot him in the head.

"Initially, ang hepe ng police station 9, naglabas ng pahayag na pageant-related pero hindi diyan natatapos ang [imbestigasyon] ng Cagayan de Oro City Police Office sa para alamin ang tunay na motibo," Police Lt. Col. Evan Viñas said. —NB, GMA Integrated News
