Baby in Zamboanga del Norte dies after being bitten by dog

A three-month-old baby died in President Manuel A. Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte, after getting bitten by a dog.

According to Krissa Dapitan's report for GMA Regional TV "One Mindanao" on "24 Oras," a CCTV footage from April 3 of a gasoline station showed the dog entering the room where the baby was.

It even passed by the baby's parents, who were both workers at the station.

The couple ran quickly when they saw the dog and found out it had bitten the head of their three-month-old baby while she was sleeping.

The father left the room and threw the dog outside.

The baby was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead.

The parents of the child declined to issue a statement on the incident. Meanwhile, authorities are searching for the owner of the dog. -- Sherylin Untalan/BAP, GMA Integrated News
