Police release composite sketch of suspect in killing of San Miguel, Bulacan police chief


Police have released the composite sketch of one of the two suspects in the killing of the police chief of San Miguel, Bulacan, over the weekend,  Mark Makalalad reported on Super Radyo dzBB on Monday.

Quoting Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo, the report said the suspect is about 5'3 to 5'4 in height, brown-skinned, and estimated to be aged 35 years old and above.

The victim, Police Lieutenant Colonel Marlon Serna, suffered from a gunshot wound to the head after he was shot by two alleged robbers on Saturday night.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), PNP, and the Bulacan provincial government are offering a P1.2-million reward to anyone who could provide information on the perpetrators behind the killing.

Police Regional Office 3 Director Police Brigadier General Jose Hidalgo Jr. said at least P300,000 of the total amount would be coming from their office, P500,000 from the DILG, and P200,000 from the PNP.

Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando, meanwhile, offered a P200,000 reward.

The two suspects, who were alleged robbers, were onboard a motorcycle when they fired shots and hit Serna. A 17-year-old male was also wounded due to the incident.

Fajardo said the CCTV footage of the incident will undergo enhancement process to determine the motorcycle's plate number. —KBK, GMA Integrated News
