A 26-year-old man who was reported missing has been found dead in a vacant lot in Alfonso, Cavite.

According to Emil Sumangil’s report on“24 Oras”, police said Ralph Matthew Peredo called his live-in partner before he went missing on  March 10.

He was found dead in a vacant lot in Alfonso, Cavite on March 11.

(There's a suspected gunshot wound on his head. Based on the investigation by our SOCO, a spent shell of 9 mm was recovered. It was also suspicious that he had been handcuffed.)

Peredo’s car, meanwhile, was recovered on Aguinaldo Highway, Silang, Cavite.

“Mayroon siyang bakas ng dugo sa gulong ,” Dimaala said.

(There was a trace blood on the tire of the car.)

Police obtained the CCTV footage that showed Peredo's car leaving a transient house seven kilometers away from where he was found dead.

Authorities arrested the suspect from the transient house.

(The family was there and waited at what had been the safe house of the suspects. A man came out holding a bag, which the victim’s sibling recognized as his.)

Apart from the sling bag of the victim, the money and other belongings were not recovered.

Police are looking at the possibility of robbery.

“Base sa testimonya ng kapatid, merong alahas ang biktima, may kwintas at relo more or less nagkakahalagang P400,000 na hindi na natin narecover doon sa cadaver at sasakyan ng biktima,” Dimaal said.

(Based on the victim’s relative testimony, the victim had jewelry, a necklace, and a watch worth more or less P400,000 that we have not recovered from the victim's cadaver and car.)

Authorities have file murder complaints against suspect Eljohn Samano.

(I will reveal everything in court. I have a lawyer who might be able to help me.)

(He can stand as a witness after he saw how the victim was brought there before he died. He also saw these people who took the victim.)

Police said they are also looking for at least three more suspects including retired policeman. —NB, GMA Integrated News
