Cellphone signal may help locate missing Cessna in Isabela
The cellphone signal of one of the passengers might be the key to the location of the Cessna which went missing in Isabela.
According to a report by Ian Cruz on "24 Oras," a relative tried calling one of the passenger's phone and it rang.
No one answered until it lost contact. They handed the number to its service provider to determine its location.
The location is within 20 kilometers of the cell site in Maconacon, a mountainous area between Maconacon and Divilacan, Isabela.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, the Philippine Air Force (PAF) resumed operation for the missing Cessna 206 plane with tail number RP-C 1174.
It aimed to search within the route the Cessna was supposed to take, starting from Cauayan Domestic Airport to Maconacon.
It was last detected near the Naguilian Bridge on Tuesday.
A ground search operation by soldiers of the 95th Infantry Battalion in Maconacon, Divilacan, and San Mariano in Isabela was also conducted. —Sherylin Untalan/NB, GMA Integrated News
