Landslide affects 24 families in Maco, Davao de Oro

At least 24 families in Maco, Davao de Oro, were affected by a landslide caused by incessant rains, Rodel Natad of Super Radyo Davao reported on Saturday.

Allen Baco, operations and warning division head of the Davao de Oro Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, said the rains caused a landslide past 4 a.m. and destroyed several houses in Barangay Mainit, the report added.

There were no reported injuries.

The local government is preparing assistance while the affected residents are temporarily staying in the barangay covered court. —Sherylin Untalan/VBL, GMA Integrated News
