Flood displaces 500 families in Norzagaray, Bulacan after Angat, Ipo dams release water
At least 500 families were evacuated in Norzagaray, Bulacan after their communities were flooded following the release of water from Angat and Ipo dams due to continuous rains.
Norzagaray Mayor Ma. Elena Germar said the flooded areas were riverside communities in Barangays Poblacion, Matictic, San Mateo and San Lorenzo, according to a report of Luisito Santos on Dobol B TV on Saturday.

The Angat River in Norzagaray overflowed its banks on Friday, Germar said.
The Angat and Ipo Dams, both in Norzagaray, has been releasing water since Friday.
On Saturday at 6 a.m., Angat Dam still had three gates open at 8.5 meters, while Ipo Dam had six gates open at 9.2 meters.
Members of Norzagaray Rescue were still scouring the flooded areas on Saturday to rescue residents who were not able to evacuate on Friday.

The local government unit of Norzagaray, meanwhile, gave relief goods to the evacuees who were brought to evacuation areas.
