4,000 residents in flood-hit Misamis Occidental get help from GMA Kapuso Foundation
A total of 4,000 residents affected by the recent flood in Barangay Taboc Norte in Oroquieta, Misamis Occidental received help from the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
According to a "24 Oras" report, Thursday, among the beneficiaries was Liza Telebrico, who lost her home, as well as the boat their family uses to fish.
"'Yung tubig, hanggang [dibdib]. Ang lakas talaga ng alon. Sira lahat ng mga bahay dito. Paano na kami ngayon? Sinong tutulong sa amin?" she said.
("The water reached chest-level. The waves were strong. All the houses were damaged. How are we to live now? Who is going to help us?")
With the help of Philippine Army's First Infantry Division, the residents were given relief goods under the "Operation Bayanihan" project.
The GMA Kapuso Foundation's accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
