Woman in Cavite who shares blessings despite hardships gets gifts from GMA Kapuso Foundation

This woman in Ternate, Cavite proved that there is no limit to helping others.

As seen on a "24 Oras" report Monday, Editha Festejo owns an almost empty sari-sari store, but it still serves as a source of food for her neighbors who are struggling to put food on the table.

"Palagi nating alalahanin magbigayan, magmahalan, at magpakumbaba," she said. "Nakakaawa naman. Walang makain, walang bigas. S'yempre, 'yung puso ko naman, parang hinihiwa."

("We should always remember to share what we have, to love each other, and and to be humble. I feel sad for them. They have nothing to eat, no rice. Of course, my heart feels like it's getting cut.")

The 67-year-old's hearing is no longer in good condition. According to ENT Specialist Dr. Gil Vicente, it's likely to be a result of old age.

"Parang makina ‘yan. Habang tumatagal, humihina nang humihina," he said.

("It's like a machine. As time goes by, it gets weaker and weaker.")

This Christmas, it's high time for her to get the help she deserves.

The GMA Kapuso Foundation gave her groceries and her her sari-sari store was also renovated. She was also given a hearing aid, a new television, and vitamins.

The GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
