3 persons injured in fire that hit a residential area in Mandaue City, Cebu

Three persons were injured in the fire that hit a residential area in Mandaue City, Cebu late Tuesday evening, according to a report on Unang Balita.

The fire, according to the social media post of the Mandaue City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, is located along C. Ouano Street, Sitio Paradise in Barangay Looc, Mandaue City.

As of 11:45 p.m., Bantay Mandaue - CDRRMO posts that fourth alarm has already been raised in the area.

Bureau of Fire Protection officials said the fire spread quickly as most houses in the area are made of light materials.

Officials declared fire out a few minutes after 2 a.m.

Around 700 families were affected and are currently staying at a gymnasium.
