Police arrest cop involved in ‘sextortion’
A cop who allegedly filmed his girlfriend without her consent and used the explicit video to blackmail her was arrested by authorities in Bulacan.
The Philippine National Police Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (PNP-IMEG) said in Emil Sumangil’s report on “24 Oras” that the victim sought their help against Patrolman Julius Ramos due to the suspect’s alleged “sextortion.”
Mary Jean Cuevas.
(He is using the videos to blackmail the victim for sexual favors. The complainant was dismayed by her predicament and she sought our assistance.)
GMA News sought Ramos’ response to the allegations but he has yet to respond.
Meanwhile, Ramos will face raps for grave coercion and for violating the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act, Anti-Cybercrime Prevention Act, and the Anti-Photo and Voyeurism Act.
