Tarlac's ‘Belenismo’ features over 50 life-size nativity scenes

A total of 51 enchanting and colorful life-size nativity scenes or belens were showcased at the launch of the 15th Belenismo celebration on Friday in Tarlac, according to Jasmin Gabriel-Galban's report on "24 Oras."

Belenismo, the art of making nativity scenes, has become one of the most-awaited events in the province during the Christmas season.

Known as the Belen capital of the Philippines, Tarlac's annual display brings out the creativity of communities, including the church, in coming up with huge replicas of the nativity scenes.

Some entries are made from recycled materials and colorful concepts.

The lights and decorations surrounding the belens made them glow even more beautifully, especially at night.—LDF, GMA News
