Paeng disrupts land travel in parts of Bicol, Visayas, Mindanao

Land travel has been disrupted in some parts of Bicol, Visayas, and Mindanao due to poor weather caused by Severe Tropical Storm Paeng.

In an advisory, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said the Land Transportation Office-Philippines (LTO) Region V advised the public that land travel bound for Masbate, Virac, Visayas, and Mindanao had been suspended.

“This is to ensure passengers’ safety and overall welfare, and to avoid heavy congestion of vehicles that are stranded along the roads going to Matnog and other sea ports of Bicol,” the department said.

“The aforesaid advisory bides, until the typhoon and storm signals set have been lifted.” — Richa Noriega/VBL, GMA News
