Little tremors cause girl to scamper, hug mom after Abra earthquake


Some residents especially children in Abra are living in fear after suffering injuries from the Magnitude 6.4 earthquake which hit Abra on Tuesday.

According to GMA Regional TV reporter Ivy Hernando’s report on “24 Oras,” some are even choosing to sleep outside their homes.

An 8-year-old girl from Langayan, Abra, sustained injuries and bruises after being hit by a hollow block which fell.

“Hanggang nagyon may trauma kasi kaunting pagyanig ay nagugulat at yayakap,” said the child’s mother Teresita Bersamira.

Another resident, Jake Paul, fell out of a window. He said he was still scared after what happened.

At least ten have been reported injured throughout Abra according to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO).

Meanwhile, more than twenty houses were damaged in the area.
