State of calamity declared in Cagayan town

A town in Cagayan province has been placed under a state of calamity in the wake of damage to agriculture and infrastructure caused by the onslaught of tropical cyclone Maymay.
According to the report of GMA Regional TV's Ivy Hernando on "24 Oras", the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) said some P260 million worth of crops were damaged.
Meanwhile, relief packs have been distributed to affected families and individuals in the area. —Sherylin Untalan/NB, GMA News
